Is Ward Burton pretty much done in NASCAR?
You just don’t hear much about him. Miss hearing him talk. Do you think he is prety much washed up in NASCAR or do you think he can still have a career in it?
Driving a stock car is no different from any other skill, if you don’t keep it honed there’s no way that you can perform at the top of your class.
Ward Burton is the unfortunate result of not getting enough seat time in good equipment.
He was out of the Cup Series for several years and then came back in mediocre equipment.
If Ward could get a decent ride and compete for a full season I think that he would be a great competitor before his age comes into play. Since that’s not happening it’s not looking good for him to ever be back to the level that he once was.
I would like to see him full time in a Nationwide Series car, but I haven’t heard any talk of that.
