Can anyone give me some info about going to the nascar race at Texas Motor Speedway?
Some friends and I will be going to the Nascar race in April 2010. Any info on places to stay would be great. Would like to stay somewhere that would be close to great bars. I’m not sure if that would be downtown Dallas or not. Also, I know traffic can be horrible going and coming from the race so, is there bus services or anything that would be a better idea. Thanks
P.S. Don”t want to stay at some dirty cheap motel but also not looking to break the bank!
Oh that kristen chick has no clue. I went there last year and we stayed in the Suburbs of Dallas and Fort Worth. Coppell was where we stayed and its a nice place, but about an hour away going through traffic. Normally it would be about 20 minutes so its not that far but the traffic was crazy and just getting into the track was the hardest part. Another place would be Grapevine or Denton and both would have nice places to stay and many bars to go to. Even with traffic being crazy it really wasnt that bad and we left Coppell around nine am went and got beer and stuff to grill. Got to the track around, I don’t remember for sure as I was starting to get lit up already. But we had time to drink alot, get the grill going and cook burgers and sausages and listen to music and get drunk for a couple of hours. We messed around for quite sometime outside looking at some of the goody stores and then got in the track just in time to hear “GEntlemen,,,,,, START YOUR ENGINES!!!! So Coppell is close enough and Grapevine and Denton are maybe alittle closer, but any place you decide to stay would have rooms and bars at all price ranges to stay and go to and the track is easily accessible from each location. I’m hoping I get to return for this years race as last year was my first time. My younger brother lives just south of Waco and I decided to visit and we made plans to go to the race. So we are trying to make it a yearly tradition to go and I hope everything works out for us to go. Maybe I will see you there? Have fun man and I hope you find a place that suits your style.
