Sinead O’Connor + Star of David + red, yellow, green = ?
What is the meaning behind Sinead O’Connor and her associations with both the Star of David and the colors red, yellow, and green? For example in the performance where she tore a picture of the Pope to protest him protecting child abusers in the church, she’s wearing a Star of David around her neck and the colors red, yellow, and green are on a towel wrapped around the microphone (see http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pn5uY9etyEo if you don’t know what I’m talking about). I keep seeing these symbols around her but don’t know what they stand for. Please no comments about how you think she’s crap, because I love her.
For nationality, she’s Irish and the colors of that flag are green, white, and orange – not red, yellow, and green. Also, I’m pretty sure she’s not Jewish.
