How to re stain a wooden framed 2nd hand cot?
The cot has some scratches and possible teeth marks on the top of rails and on the”solid bed head”. The cots stain colour is similar to golden oak which im happy with. It has been finished with a clear varnish so what is the best way to re touch these areas. Does it involve a light sand a re coat of varnish or will the light sand using G120 remove the colour also. Many thanks
If you can live with any scratches that have penetrated the surface layer than you could probably get away with a light sanding and another coat. However, if you want it to look brand new than the best route would be to fully sand the entire cot.
