How to get rid of ask.com as my search engine?

I recently installed a converting media software and one of the thing it had was the ask.com toolbar and stupid me installed it but I removed it using add or remove programs but now every time I put something in the address bar, it goes to ask.com instead of my usual yahoo search or even the website the key word matches. I already used my anti-virus program to clean my cpu so it’s not a virus. how do i get rid of ask.com? How can i make google my main search engine?

is it still in your program files after you uninstalled it? look there and delete it. if that don’t work do a system restore to the point before you installed ask.com
